How to get your Real Estate Business Ready for the New Year: Part 2

We previously wrote a blog about how to get your real estate business ready for 2021 and highlighted the importance of Social Media. In this post, we will  outline a few additional steps to take in ensuring you are well prepped for the new year. So, if you have a few minutes to spare, please continue reading and see how you could stay on top of your business and still have time for yourself in 2021.

Store all of your contacts in one centralized location

Whether you have hundreds of contacts or you’re just starting out in your real estate business and have a handful, a good habit to develop would be to store everything in one database. There is no need to have five different Excel spreadsheets. If you are constantly writing everything down, just start slowly refraining from that. You can access your ONE database through your computer, mobile or tablet. If you take anything away from this post, let this point be it.

Stay Top of Mind with your Past Clients

An ill-fated practice for a real estate agent, whether new or seasoned, is losing touch with their past clients. Once you sell a home and finalize everything, it’s  not the end of the line. You want to make sure you are constantly in touch with ALL of your contacts. This doesn’t mean you need to bombard them every week with phone calls. But, it is a good idea to reach out to them on their move-in anniversary, birthdays, and holidays. If you want to take it a step further, you can even reach out to them when one of their children graduates or even on other religious holidays that they may celebrate. So how do you keep track of this? Again, it’s all in your ONE centralized database. You can make notes, set automated reminders for yourself, and adjust the frequency of your calls. It’s all customizable and will surely help you stay top of mind throughout 2021 and going forward.

Set Goals for Yourself

Whenever it comes to anything, it is so satisfying when you have goals written down and you finally achieve them. The same should apply to your real estate business. Setting goals and being able to track your progress is the best thing you can do for yourself. On top of that, being able to see your progress through charts and graphs will make it even easier for you to see how far along you are and how close you are to achieving your goals. The point of this? Don’t stay stagnant; keep motivating and challenging yourself.

Summary

This was a tumultuous year and it has changed the lives of many. But, lets make 2021 a better year focus on how we can improve, change and be stronger than ever in all aspects of our lives. So, if you are looking to see what you can make improvements to, start with your real estate business. Follow these steps and within no time, you will re-invent your real estate brand and be able to have time for other things!
